In addition to providing metadata on accessibility and conformance reporting — both required metadata components — publishers seeking GCA conformance must provide additional metadata fields that are currently optional.
These include three accessibility metadata fields (accessModeSufficient; accessibilityAPI, and accessibilityControl) and two certification metadata fields that include the URL to a site that verifies their title has passed a conformance review.
This optional certification metadata will also be included with links to Benetech’s certification badge as well as a report on the accessibility of the publication (certifierCredential and certifierReport).
Please include the link to the Global Certified Accessible Credential page in your accessibility metadata verifying that your title has been certified as Global Certified Accessible by Benetech.
You may use the GCA logo freely without restrictions on any promotional material or documentation.
