Let's Come Together to End Bay Area Homelessness

The Bay Area has the third largest homelessness population in the United States. Technology has made it easy to look up how many coffee shops are open within a five-mile radius, yet people in the Bay Area who need help still often struggle to get useful information about food pantries, shelters, and other essential services.

Using software for data collaboration, community based organizations, local governments, hospitals, and nonprofits are coming together to end Bay Area homelessness and poverty.

Benetech Service Net is a community driven initiative that makes the safety net more visible, efficient, and easier to navigate. Join us on our mission to leverage technology to end poverty and homelessness in the Bay Area. Become a partner or donate today!

"This is not a time to be proprietary. Working across a number of different organizations to share data and updates, and identify where there are mismatches in information, will help improve quality and reduce redundant work across organizations.” – Bill Soward, Executive Director ShelterTech (Bay Area Pilot Participant) quoted in The San Francisco Chronicle
