A boy reads on a tablet with headphones. We did it. #GivingTuesday. Thank you.

We are grateful to our generous community members who have strengthened our public-private partnership and contributed collectively more than $300,000 to help make sure Bookshare can be enjoyed by youthful readers everywhere, regardless of their zip code.

Thank you for digging deep on Giving Tuesday and helping us meet and exceed our $45,000 match.  To the many of you who gave for the first time, a special thank you for joining in this important work. We are humbled by the heartfelt comments we received from so many individual donors:

  • “Bookshare is one of the most valuable resources for reading that exists in my book.”
  • “This is a wonderful organization that I highly depend upon to be able to pursue my lifelong enjoyment of reading!”
  • “Bookshare makes all the difference for our child. Thank you.”
  • “Thank you Bookshare for bringing meaningful and accessible technology that is helping change our child’s life.”

With so many youth struggling to learn and grow amidst a period of historic upheaval and disruption, we know the need for Bookshare is great.  Our Equity in Literacy campaign will continue so that we can deliver free dyslexia screenings, free digital books and free reading software to determined young people everywhere.

If you haven’t yet done so, please give a year-end gift now.

Thank you for being part of the growing movement for Equity in Literacy. You are unlocking one of the most powerful tools that will help a young person for the rest of their life.

P.S. We are seeking an additional 18 monthly donors.  Can you chip in now?
