We’re pleased to announce the pilot of the Saint Lucia Bookshare Library. The pilot is funded by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and sponsored by Saint Lucia’s Department of Sustainable Development and Department of Education. Saint Lucia’s Lady Gordon Opportunity Centre will lead this pilot, set to begin in January 2021. On October 22, the Bookshare community came together virtually to hear two students and an adult share their advice as disability advocates. They discussed important topics such as securing accommodations, getting accessible materials, and recruiting allies to achieve success in the classroom and workplace.
