Joel Riciputi Joins Benetech’s Leadership Team to Drive Marketing Strategy

Benetech announced today that Joel Riciputi has joined the organization as Vice President of Marketing where he will be responsible for integrated product and program marketing, corporate marketing, and communications. Over the past 20+ years Joel’s work has spanned a range of global technology challenges from sustainability and energy management to speech recognition and security, all at the juncture of leveraging technology for action and impact.

“Joel’s track record in building and managing successful marketing teams for technology companies and organizations is outstanding,” said Benetech President Betsy Beaumon. “He is joining Benetech at an exciting time as we continue to scale our solutions to empower communities in need. He will play a primary role in positioning Benetech and our respective programs and products.”

Joel comes to Benetech from Nexant, a clean energy solutions provider, where as Vice President of Product Marketing, he managed marketing strategy, product marketing, demand creation, and solution communications ultimately leading to the use of the Nexant iEnergy© demand side management platform at more than sixty major utilities powering over 500 conservation programs.

Joel has also held senior marketing, product, and business development roles at startups and public companies as well as nonprofits including Hara, APX, Nuance and the US Environmental Training Institute. This work has influenced and or directly impacted the effectiveness of energy conservation programs across the U.S. and Canada, industrial and municipal greenhouse gas reduction, implementation of major wastewater treatment and air pollution control projects, and wireless data security for hospitals and schools, among others.
