Benetech Names Justin Adams as Communications Director

For the past 15 years, Adams has worked in both the corporate and non-profit sectors, focusing on the intersection of technology, communications and issues management.
“Justin’s background in strategic communications and technology, combined with his passion for the issues makes him the perfect fit for us,” said Jim Fruchterman, CEO of Benetech. “We’re all thrilled that Justin has joined the Benetech team.”
Adams most recently worked as a Vice President at Fenton, a public interest communications firm in San Francisco, where he developed communications strategy and messaging for a range of non-profits and foundations. He previously served as the as the Director of Digital & Online Media at the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) in New York City and as the Deputy Director of Online Communications at the progressive media watchdog group, Media Matters for America, based in Washington, D.C.

Adams received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY, and his Master of Arts degree from The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management in Washington, D.C.
